I've been browsing a few genealogy blogs, where people are blogging about their family history and such. It is inspiring to me and so I feel like I need to step it up a bit! LOL

Today I bought the Family Tree Maker 2011 software from Ancestry.com which I think will be of great use to me! I already have a family tree made on ancestry.com. With this software I can do a lot for keeping everything in order and keeping track of everything, but one of the major reasons why I want this software is because it allows you to print family tree charts, books, etc., that you can gift to people.  You can also make a book and put it in PDF format to e-mail. 

I want to make a printed book and also copy as PDF and send to family members. 

Also, last week, I finally took the VHS I had that my mom copied from 8mm, or had someone copy and put to VHS, of a family Christmas with my grandpa (Alfred Young, Sr.) and grandma (Marian Young) and my mom, dad, aunt, uncle and cousin, to be put on to DVD.  I am getting 4 extra copies of that DVD as well.

I still need to scan all the photos and newspaper clippings and keepsakes of my grandma's.

I also want to go back to Hazel and talk to her some more about our family and I have some interview questions this time.

I just wish I had more time!
